I purchased my husband a new portable BBQ this year for his birthday in hopes that perhaps he will develop the BBQ bug. (save me from cooking) I found a beautiful Canadian made, stainless steel Jackson Grill at South Island Fireplace. And yes it is a thing of great treasure. Friends of ours helped us christen it with a feast of
local Buffalo patties.
I knew I couldn't throw them out but what to do with those small propane tanks. So I went looking into it and found out a couple of things.
If you have this problem the guys at South Island say if you bring in your portable BBQ they will look at it and tell you if the attachment will work on your grill. If not I am sure they would be happy to recommend a new one :)
But don't lose hope. There is a second option, if you don't think you can afford a new attachment piece or a new portable grill, those pesky portable green propane tanks are recyclable. Check out Zero Cowichan for a place you can drop these things off for free. Although the aren't refillable they are recyclable! Happy Grilling :)
