Sleep also helps our minds function better. Our recall is better, our mood more pleasant. When I dont get enough sleep everyone knows it. When I am grumpy, I tend to frown and frowning causes ... well frown lines.
The line down the middle of your forehead that appears when you bunch your eyebrows together is refered to as a liver line. The liver in traditional chinese medicine is assosiated with anger.
Taking time to ground yourself and de-stress will help you sleep better and relax those corrugators (the muscles on your brow). If you are fortunate enough to have someone in you life who can look at you while you sleep ask them to check if you frown in your sleep. If you do, take time to do pressure points across the forehead before sleeping, this will help if you find you have a hard time letting those muscles relax. You would be amazed at how mush tension we hold in our faces.
Who would have thought sleeping better and feeling happier could help fight wrinkles :)
